It's not easy to translate the adjective 'pendula', it would sound like both "precarious" and "hanging" rock. Anyway, this large rock (about 4 x 2 x 3 meters for a weight of about 60 ton was dragged here from the Piz Badile area by the glacier that digged the Lake of Como.
