Aufgenommen auf der Fahrt zum Urlaubsort bei mäßig schönen Wetter.Der Blick reicht bis zum Karnischen Hauptkamm.Die Strecke führte über den Nassfeldpass nach Pontebba und von dort ins wunderschöne Val Aupa.

But the Canal Valley (Tarvis district) has a mixed Slovenian / German (South Bavarian) / Friulian speaking population.

"Studena" (slavonic) = "kalt(e) = "cold" = "fredda"! The meaning is: "Cold river".
"Studena alta" (Slovenian: Gornja Studena, "gora" = mountain, "gornja" = "upper" = "alta") is a Slavonic/Romanic "mix", what means: "Upper village at the Cold River".
