To experiment with DPP, I decided to work out this series, which I shot immediately after that of N.26587, but pushing the G1X zoom close to its far focal limit.
I find it remarkable and encouraging that, even with such a nearly-pocket camera, in the 30.000 pixel wide Panoramio version (not far from the 50.000 pixel original) one can still enjoy details like the far saw of the Montasio ridge, the mass of the Triglav, the thin rock spire of the Gusela del Vescovà right of the Schiara, and Bivacco Castiglioni on the flat summit of the Pala di San Martino. Two other bivacs set in prominent positions, namely the Bivacco Reali close to the summit of the Croda Granda, and the Bivacco Bedin on the flat meadows crowning the breathtaking Pale di San Lucano walls, are only just hidden. This is a pity, since whey would pop out nicely with their bright red colours!
I do not know how significant the 500 pixel version can be; however, as said, as a DPP-vs-Lightroom essay I find preferable to load it rather to reload another version of the 360° work.

In cima all'Agner c'è il Bivacco Biasin.
Saluti,
Alberto.
