Area: Fleimstaler Alpen      Date: 11-03-2015
Recently the people in Valsugana discovered the existence of a project to build a new power line across the hills visible here, thus also skirting - among the others - this old church of San Giorgio.
A collection of signatures was readily organized and, while some volunteers were filling the last sheets down along the Fersina, I rode a little higher up in order to take shots like this, which then were linked in the material sent to Rome. We are an autonomous region, such that dangers and disasters may come from both the politicians of Rome and of Trento but, at least, you may complain with the ones about what the others do...
Both, however, use the same technique: to hide their projects from the population as long as possible and, when the thing comes to light, and the complaints begin, to say that everything is nearly ready...
Otherwise, Serso is also known for its white whine (Blanc de Sers) and for the archaeological finds dating to the Bronze age, witnessing how the privileged position of these hills repaired from the north wind was appreciated very early.
The church of San Giorgio also contains some XVI century frescoes.
