A comfortable summit to watch the sunrise, after a night in the comfortable winter room of Rifugio Biella, following in turn a comfortable bicycle ride from Brixen.
The visit to Rifugio Biella is a convenient side-trip on the classical loop through Sennes and Fanes. Starting from Pederu one ascends the very steep cemented switchbacks leading to Fodara Vedla. Successively, the track traverses the wide Sennes tableland to Rifugio Sennes: the fork to Biella is very close. From here one descends in direction Cortina, passing thorugh the pleasant meadows of Ra Stua and reaching the wide plain of Fiames. From there the long ascent to Fanes and Passo del Limo follows. It is necessary to push nearly all the time, since the track is in very poor condition, all covered by loose stones. On the other hand, the descent from Passo del Limo to Pederu though the Fanes refuges is well maintained.
