There is a lot of confusion about names in the Cimadasta group.
Including, but not limited to, the main summit, which from Cimalasta ("the summit of stony slabs") in the hands of Peter Anich, the Austrian author of the Atlas Tyrolensis, became a senseless Cima d'Asta ("the summit of the pole": yes, precisely the one of Sergey Bubka and companions). So, few people know the name of this ridge is "Cresta delle Streghe", that is, the ridge of the witches. (Oddio, è anche l'incipit di un'aria di Jago nell'Otello di Verdi...)
Dicevo con Marzulli che basta confrontare, sull'altro sito, la fortuna del mio ultimo panorama di soggetto cretese con quella di un recente omologo - stessa isola, stesse montagne, solo diverso autore - per capire la faziosità che di questi tempi la compagnia mostra.
Per il resto... saluti dalla Cresta delle Streghe, e dall'invero poco immaginifico Passo della Cresta - ecco, questo è un toponimo davvero deludente, forse l'unico da quelle parti.
Quel giorno, per esempio, sarebbe stato destinato alla ricerca di un rarissimo "Scanaruzzo [sic] di Regana", solo che poi un amico parimenti interessato a questa chicca non aveva potuto venire.
