An unusual Cima Dodici is the one which awaits the mountaineer upon reaching its wild north ridge after a climb though the Vallon delle Dodese, which starts at 770 m, little above the tiny village of Olle.

This ia quite instructive study of this - for German tourist more or less unknown - mountain range. Nevertheless, Cima Dodici is hard up for the Top 100 of the biggest alpine mountains. With 21,4 km dominance, 1874 m prominence, 2221 m relative height and a steepness factor of 69,6% it reaches 5319 Bergwertung points, that is 122 points less than no. 100.
