sì, effettivamente fin dai tempi di Grohmann il passaggio tra Punta Rocca e Punta Penia ha costituito un dilemma alpinistico... risolto solo con la decisione di non pensarci nemmeno!
Lo stato del ghiacciaio della Marmolada (e anche della Schena de Mul da dove, scendendo, ho preso questa mediocre panoramica) è sempre più preoccupante. Rispetto alla mia "prima volta", nel 1990, lo scivolo iniziale che conduce al Pian dei Fiacchi sta assumendo pendenze "interessanti" ai limiti della piolet traction... Per fortuna, almeno, quest'anno non occorreva fare numeri da circo per arrivare alle roccette attrezzate.

Alvise: impressionante vedere un siffatto marciume sul retro della parete con Specchio di Sara o Attraverso il Pesce...
Spero anch'io di salire un giorno questa montagna - sulla quale sono fermo a una scialba scialpinistica autunnale fin su al colletto di fronte alla stazione a monte.

Und der Gengenteil von Swisstopo heißt: Kompass Verlag GmbH! Ich habe noch die alte (198x) Karte mit Titel "Sellagruppe - Marmolata" (sic). Weil vielleicht Marmolada zu lokal-mundartlich schien...
Dann in der Karte findet man wieder Marmolada.
Weiß nicht, was der (momentan gestorbene?) Udeuschle dazu sagt. Ich vermute Marmolada. Einen auserlesenen ("polite") Marmolata hätte ich vielleicht bemerkt.

PS: und Mamoiada?
In der Mitte des Supramonte ("politely" Sopramonte)

In Deutschland wird die Marmolada "Marmolata" genannt. Frag' mich nicht, warum. Meine Tante und meine Oma haben das schon so gesagt... Vgl. auch https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmolata

@ Alexander: here I am on the Schena de Mul, a snowy/icy ridge that reaches the summit. At that moment there were only clouds all around me... On the right there is the exit of the so-called "north route" of the marmolada, one of the few ice routes on the Marmolada apart the normal way. An icy chute to pay attention to. I was just under the ridge, and therefore the view to the right was impeded. Usually, in good days the view is fantastic.
