Nell'agosto 2016 una enorme frana si è staccata dal versante settentrionale della Piccola Croda Rossa; secondo i calcoli sono precipitati tra i 600 e i 700.000 mc di roccia, per un fronte di 200 metri e uno spessore di 30. Ora resta una gigantesca cicatrice rossa che rivela anche la ragione del nome (italiano) che porta tutto il gruppo. La frana è tuttora attiva, come testimoniano i continui inquietanti boati. In August 2016 a huge landslide broke off from the northern slope of the Piccola Croda Rossa; according to calculations 600 to 700,000 cubic meters of rock fell down, for a front of 200 meters and a thickness of 30. Now there remains a gigantic red scar which also reveals the reason for the italian name that bears the whole group. The landslide is still active, as evidenced by the continuous disturbing roars.
