Noch bevor die ersten Sonnenstrahlen und die üblichen Massen an Touristen eintrafen, machten wir uns fast alleine vom Parkplatz beim Rif. Auronzo auf den breiten Weg, den wir bald nach links hinauf verlassen sollten.

Actually 
in summer Auronzo Hutte can be reached by car only in the very early morning... at nine o'clock the upper parking lot is already completely full!

exactly, Alvise :-) that´s why our guide (from Cortina) suggested starting at 5.30 a.m....
