L'ancien fort de l'Olive fait partie de la série des nombreux ouvrages militaires qui ont été construits dans cette région au XIXe siècle. Il devait assurer la surveillance et la défense de plusieurs cols, dont le col de l'Échelle (Colle della Scala), ainsi que l'appui d'ouvrages militaires voisins.
Ce fort fut obsolète avant d'avoir servi.
J'ai deux panoramas pris du fort lui-même et qui sont prêts à être téléchargés (ce sera la semaine prochaine, avec des informations en français, j'essaierai aussi en allemand).
Die alte Festung von l'Olive gehört der Reihe von militärischen Bauen des 19. Jahrhunderts dieses Gebiet. Es musste die Überwachung und des Schutzes von einigen Passe, deren der Pass von L'Échelle (Colle della Scala) und auch die Unterstützung der nähen Festungen gewährleisten.
Diese Festung war veraltet, bevor es gebraucht wurde.
Ich habe 2 Panoramen von dieser Festung, die fertig um zu herunterladen sind. Die nächste Woche, mit Nachrichten dazu.

a little overexposed in my opinion, but still very good!
I'm sorry but if at the top of the fortress there is well a kind of terrace, the next panoramas are not photographed from there. That old fortress was not built at the summit of a mountain, but rather on a shoulder from where it was possible to keep watch on border-pass, but not to take really beautiful panoramas on high mountains ;-)
So and as you'll see it, I liked better to favour the fortress itself than the mountains. I hope you'll be interested.
