Location: Cornetto di Folgaria (2050 m)      by: Pedrotti Alberto
Area: Vizentiner Alpen      Date: 20-04-2016
I post another picture from my April ascent to the Cornetto di Folgaria.
A trip which was performed mainly for the sake of distraction. Namely, in the little village of Nosellari, right below the mountain, I had just played at the organ the funeral of... the organ player of Nosellari, who died at the age of 50. After passing an hour shrunk in a narrow space between the instrument and the coffin of its usual player, I felt in no positive mood. And, indeed, the mountain gave me a bit of relief.
I think that the original build of the cross exploits the qualities of the summit, which is a typical ski mountaineering destination: an easy ascent from the wide meadows of Folgaria, one of those trips that can be dared even when the avalanche bulletin is not 100% reassuring.
