Das mit dem Titel verstehe ich nicht. Der ist doch nicht so besonders? Warum hast Du das mit der Kapelle wieder rausgenommen? Meines Kommentars wegen doch hoffentlich nicht! Amicalmente (oder wie sagt man?)

Matthias: es war für mich etwas traurig zu sehen, wie aus der Betrachter Ordnungen kaum ein einziger beim Betrachten der europäischen Fahne Freude hatte.
Das ist sehr einfach zu verstehen.
Einfach ist auch das mit dem Wortspiel hier. Beim Fußball beginnt man mit dem Ball in der Mitte: auf Italienisch, "palla al centro"...
Hier haben wir diesen einsamen Schiff der Pale, der mit seinen verschiedenen Masten in der Mitte der kleineren Bergen segelt: daher, "Pala al centro"...

Danke Alberto für die Antwort und die Erklärungen. Das mit dem Palla / Pala war dann klar.

Schade, dass du die Kapelle entfernt hast nur weil nicht alle "bravo" rufen wenn sie eine EU Flagge sehen. Du weist, ich bin in Österreich gross geworden. Sieht man diese Kapelle auf einem Bild, liest man diesen Namen, begreift die Geschichte des Bauwerkes, dann drängt sich der "EU-Bezug" einem der in meiner Umgebung gross geworden ist nicht gerade als erstes Motto auf.

Ich denke da dann schon eher an die Paneuropäische Union oder daran, dass viele Traditionsvereine nördlich des Brenners diese Gegend als die Südgrenze Tirols bezeichnen. Auch denke ich mir was beim Namen der Kapelle und spannend wird es wenn man sich auf Recherche begibt. Neu-Erbauer ist ja offenbar die ANA di Trento - nicht wahr?

Daher von meiner Seite her eher ein verhaltener Zugang zum Bild. 1-2 Tage wird man wohl schon nachdenken dürfen ....

Yes, I thought a little bit also of Santa Zita, but I had also other problems at the time - first of all, how to get down that mountain, where I had remained without food.
The project for the rebuild was made by the engineer Pierluigi Coradello, who retrieved in some archive in Austria (do not ask me which one) the original project of the Bohemian tenant Adalbert Erlebach - yes, Erlebach, not the big Fischer von Erlach, but for the humble chapel of Santa Zita it may be enough.
Last remark. The Kaiserin Zita di Borbone (1892-1989) was born in Villa Pianore, near Camaiore. The saint after whom she was named was born in Monsagrati, 15 km up in the same valley. Sunday in Vezzena there war a big group from Monsagrati. So, whe hear also some gentle accent from Tuscany together with our more or less Tyrolean ones...

Thanks for your explanations. I appreciate very much your chapel St. Zita and would be glad to see it again on this website. Not because of the pano itself - this one from Iuribrutto is much better - but because it is so important to stand together north and south of the alps. Please don't be frustrated if many people living far away from Monte Verena don't know what happened there. European Union means - last, but not least - being patient with oneanother... PS: According to "Palla al centro" I should say: and thanks for your Anstoß! (Because this may be difficult for not germanspeakers: Anstoß is the german word for "Palla in centro" and at the same time a word for an appeal or an initiative...)

Especially the link to the ANA journal is very valuable, I started to translate some paragraphs. I alwasy darely hope that such a re-erection of an old symbol of war is indeed used to promote peace (to be reached without the instruments of war ...).
