Alpen-Panoramen, Panorama der Alpen

This is my first pano here. I did a helicopter flight along the summits of the mountains around Zermatt. With my iPhone 14 pro max, I recorded most of the flight. I was able to take 4k frames from the videos and made several small panos. Here is one of them when the helicopter just flew above the Italian summit of the Matterhorn and turned around. In the dept you see Cervinia. At right the Mont Blanc, Grand Combin, Dent d'Hérens. The nearly horizontal summit of the Matterhorn is 110 m long and here you see the western tip or Italian summit which is 1 m lower than the Swiss summit (4477.5 m). There is a cross there just out of the picture. The pits in the snow are footsteps from climbers.

One of the problems was the many reflections in the front window as well as the rotor and its flickering shadow. Also the helicopter was flying forwards and turning. So the shooting location, the angle and perspective constantly changed. I used the best parts of 15 frames to create this pano with Ptgui Pro.
