The Colsent/Colsento is an uncospicouous mountain, little more than a hill, on the watershed between the territories of Trento and Feltre. In this stretch, the waterhed reaches a low point between the Cimonega, with the southernmorst notable Dolomitic summit, the Sass de Mura, and the lower but mighty barrier of the Vette Feltrine.
Curiously enough, here the political border abadandons the ridgeline and follows for a while the nearby valley, such that here I am completely in Veneto. East of the ridge, one sees the wild Val Canzoi, In the shadows, there are the pastures of Malga Alvis, 1500 m, which requires an exhausting access from the Lago della Stua, lying at little more than 600 m. Right, on the Trento side, one sees the high Val Noana, with the well known Rifugio Boz, which constitutes an important stop on the Alta Via numero 2. Strangely enough, this grassy ridge has razor-sharp stretches, and impressive is the steepness of the east side. I present a view from this minor sporn on the ridge because the Colsent itself, which seen from everywhere seems a perfect and isolated viewpoint, welcomes the few visitors with an unexpected surprise: the summit stretches horizontally for 40-50 m (a feature invisible even from there), making it impossibile to take a decent panorama. Take this just as in instructive panorama. More can be understood considering it in conjunction with N.40477 N.31747 and N.37874 (or even better 17144, where the Colsent is wrongly named Alvis).
