When I first climbed this mountain in 2003, I knew it as Timmelsjochberg, a name that reveals its role of first sentinel above the pass.
Let me now experiment the less explicit name that I find on Openstreetmap...
In 2003 I pushed on to the nearby Jochköpfl, which became one of the "Seven Summits of the Poor" that I described in panorama-photo.net/panorama.php?pid=30017
Seemingly, I like these Summits of the Poor, as is witnessed by the fact that I returned once to the Brennkogel, once to the Brocken, twice to the Helmos, once close to the Lovcen (where the main summit, to be honest, would be strictly forbidden), and now also close to this one (my "Everest of the Poor"). No military area in this case, simply I had still a long way to go, and with legs which are of course no longer those of 2003.
