Considering its prominent position in alpine tourism, surprisingly few panoramas are uploaded from here, on this site. I found the view fantastic and was lucky in having good weather. Seen through my binoculars, the summit of Grossglockner was buzzing with climbers. They must have had a great day too!

This panorama is very like the others from this place; however I have tried a higher horizontal aim - and anyway, the documentation of the melting Pasterze (on this site, for instance) hits a low-point for me. When my Father-in-law (a self-declared climate-sceptical) saw this picture, he was stunned and quite shocked with the Pasterze-retreat. He was here in cirka 1960, and remembers the bassin as halfway filled up.
